Osaka Japan: Travel

Osaka Japan Warm and Warmer
I have a dream of visiting Japan someday, preferably to live there. If I was living there, I would definitely take a weekend to visit Osaka Japan. I would not, however, visit it during the months of June, July, August, or even early September, as Osaka Japan is one of the southernmost prefectures and therefore one of the hottest places in Japan during those summer months (and, indeed, during any months). But during the more temperate seasons, or as perhaps a weekend escape from the colder, wetter climates up north, Osaka Japan could be a lot of fun.
Osaka Japan Toned down Tokyo?
Osaka Japan is in many ways not as glitz, glam, and party as Tokyo Japan is, though in certain districts of Osaka Japan this can be untrue, or even the reverse. Osaka has only the third highest population of a Japanese city except during the day. During the day there are so many people commuting into Osaka Japan that it’s population surpasses that of Yokohama Japan, the city that holds the second-highest seat for population at night. Osaka Japan also has an American district, popular with young adults and “yuppies” and it is a little more accepting of foreigners than the more closed-society towns like Tokyo Japan. Although, in general, Japan is still a rather closed society compared to other societies.
Osaka Japan Food and Culture
Osaka Japan is know for its good food. It has a great variety of foods from various places and ethnicities both within Japan and globally. There are certain places and districts in Osaka Japan that are especially renowned for their great cuisine. Also, Osaka is renowned for Osaka Castle, one of the few remaining pieces of Osaka Japan architecture that survived allied bombing in world war two. Oh, and Osaka Japan has this really cool thing floating in Osaka Bay; an airport. You heard me, an airport. It was built on an artificial island, but in satellite and helicopter photos from above make it look like it is just floating in the water. If nothing else, look up the pictures online. It’s cool
Osaka Japan Holiday
So if you are thinking about an Osaka Japan holiday, there are plenty of reasons to go for it. Then again, if you can tell from the tone of my post, I’m not the most excited person in the world about Osaka Japan. Don’t get me wrong, I love Japan, and if someone offered me a job in Osaka Japan I would take it in a heartbeat (okay, it might depend on the kind of job, but I digress). It’s just that Osaka Japan isn’t quite my top three (which happens to be Nagoya, Sapporo, and Sendai, and those were listed least to best by the way). But there is only one way for you to find out if Osaka Japan is in your top three. Go! Ganbatte!
